About Me

Krystal Wang, M.A. (She/Her), is a Data Analyst, working with Dr. Gregory Phillips, in the Evaluation, Data Integration and Technical Assistance (EDIT) team and the Institute for Sexual and Gender Minority Wellbeing (ISGMH) at Northwestern University. I received my B.A.s with honors in Psychology and Econometrics and Quantitative Economics at the University of Rochester and recently earned my M.A. in the Social Sciences at the University of Chicago, with an interdisciplinary concentration. My research interests are health disparities and multilevel risk and protective factors among marginalized populations to inform healthcare policies and interventions in clinical settings. More specifically, how intersectionality and structural factors integrate to influence health consequences, such as suicide, non-suicidal self-injury and substance use, among racial, gender and sexual minority adolescents. I intend to pursue Ph.D. studies in the future. Photography and art are the flavors of my life.
